Barça Ready for First Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league 30 months after they moved out so building work could begin.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans are permitted inside as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted an open training session on the home pitch on 7 November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa to host the next European match versus the German side next month in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
